Writing Season: Emotional Dog Story?..

Kia Ora everyone! Welcome to my blog post! Over these past few weeks in our writing sessions. We have made a fictional story to make our reader feel some kind of emotion, such as sadness. We have also been exploring the effect of short sentences and emotional story reading. Hope you enjoy!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The time has finally come, as death has caught up to my dear dog, Martey.

I couldn’t help but feel tears pouring down my cheeks as I spotted pain in my dog's eyes as she was laying down on the cold, marble table, being helpless and feeling slight pain. I felt helpless how I couldn’t do anything to help my dog out, wanting to do something to help her feel more at ease, have a less painful death. I remember all the times I spent with Martey, when I first saw her as a little puppy and how I was so proud in watching her grow into a strong adult, but it was depressing how I also had to watch her slowly die, in pain. I looked away and wiped my tears, feeling my heart fill up with sorrow and gloom. Martey was like my child, I cared so much about her and I can't believe I had to witness her death right in front of me...

What should happen next?
Did you feel any type of emotion?

What could I improved on this writing?

I really love your story. My favorite part is when your saying you felt helpless. This made me feel a lot of emotion.

I really like the part when you said ¨I was so proud in watching her grow into a strong adult, but it was depressing how I also had to watch her slowly die, in pain.¨ It really made me feel emotion.
